Tag - Don't believe the hype!

It seems like loads of people are doing this post so i thought i would give it a go :) As always, this is just my opinion and these products may work amazingly for you!

Sleek Palette in Sunset: Everyone raved at how amazing these palettes were so i think my expectations were maybe a little too high. With the lighter colours i think pigmentation is a little disappointing and all the colour seem to have lots of shimmery fallout :( This being said, i do still use this and would probably consider buying another, i just don't think they are as good as a lot of people make out.

Nars Orgasm: This is another disappointing product, but not necessarily a bad one. Just about everyone seems to own it and love it and i will admit it is a pretty blush. Bot does it deserve all the magazines calling it the no.1 blush?? no.

Benefit You Rebel Lite: I think for a lot of people they see this Tinted Moisturiser as the best on the market but I'm really not a fan :( It seems to turn orange throughout the day on your face and i find in really difficult to blend.

Gosh Darling: Again, not a bad product, but not as good as some people make out. I was expecting the most amazing nude lipstick and instead i got a nice nude lipstick.

Smashbox Photo Finish Primer: I just feel like this does nothing. It claims to create the perfect base for your foundation/concealers but to me its just an extra layer on my face. However it cost me like over £20 so i still use it just so it doesn't go to waste

Urban Decay 24/7 Eye Liners: I don't think these are any better than my Avon Arabian Glow cream liners (which are my all time favourites and Avon have just come out with 4 new colours :D)

A Little Dazzle for New Year's Eve

I figured because it's NYE tonight i'd do something a little different. I personally am not going out (i never do, CBA! but i will next year because i'll be 18!!!) I think NYE is the perfect time to pull out the glitter and everything you are usually too embarrassed to slap on your face!

Now i know in these pictures i have super bad eyebrows but it's xmas so i cba to do them properly!

The aim of this was to make the eyes the main focus so i kept the lips nude and the cheeks fairly natural

Also it was 3am when i did all this so excuse all eye bags, bad photography/lighting and anything else you wish to find fault with!

I tend to stick to neutral colours so this blue is really pushing the boat out for me :)

Review: Smashbox Photo Finish Primer

Smashbox Photo Finish Foundation Primer

Cost: i got in on the plane for £21.50

My Thoughts: I had really high hopes for this primer, especially with a price tag of over £20 but i was a little disappointed. Overall i don't think the primer is to fault. I recently read one of Lollipop26's posts about primers just working for some people and not for others. I am one of the latter. This product gets a lot of love from a lot of people so it's obviously working on selective skin. It is super soft, you don't need to use a lot to cover the whole face and it's super easy to blend because it's clear.

I only know of Debenhams :S

Compliments: It hasn't made a difference to my foundation so none :(

Would i re-purchase: no, but i also would buy another primer, i just don't think they work for me :(

Great Tip: I found it easiest to apply with my fingers rather than a brush

Overall Score: 3/10

Holiday Purchases

So while i was away i obviously had to do a little duty free shopping :) i didn't get alot because it's Christmas soon and i still haven't bought any presents for anyone yet :S But yeah this is what i got:

The Smashbox Photo Finish Foundation Primer for £21.50

I got this on the plane home so i haven't really tried it out properly but i put a little on my hand and it felt soooo soft! I'll do a full proper review when i've used it properly

Mac Studio Finish Concealer in NW15 for £10.20

OMG! the mac counter at Manchester airport was heaven! we got there at about 6am so there were no staff at the counter which basically meant i could just play with everything without feeling like i have to buy something or being pushed around by loads of other ladies! LOVED IT! however i only came away with the concealer because of the whole Christmas present thing again.

I actually bought this before i left but i read it while i was there and if you liked this film, read this because it is completely different towards the end! I might also do a little review of this at some point if anyone wants to know about it.

This was abit of a random purchase. I couldn't find a Moroccan Vogue so i'm thinking maybe they don't have one :S im not sure. But i did find this December issue of German Vogue which seriously has some of the best editorials i've seen in ages!
