A post that really stuck out to me was when Lisa added up the cost of the products she uses on an average day. I hope she doesn't mind but I thought I would give it a go too ...

August Favourites

I'm sorry this is late but I started year 13 a few days ago and I'm just kind of getting back into school

Gosh Holographic Nail Polish My absolute new favourite :) I love it, and I get asked about it whenever I wear it. I really want to try and get more Gosh polishes, they are so lovely!

Rimmel Matte Finish Nail Polish This is so perfect for school. I'm not allowed to wear nail polish to school but by wearing a nude polish and then the matte top coat over the top makes it look really natural but still nice.

Mac Lipstick in Angel Angel is about as adventurous and bright as I go with lipstick. I've really liked wearing this over August just to brighten up my day.

Barry M Lipgloss in Coral Nowhere near as pigmented as some other Barry M glosses I have tried, but it smells lovely and is just really easy to wear either alone or over any lipstick.

Sleek Ink Pot in Dominatrix Why did I wait so long to try gel liners? I love this and can't wait to try out some other colours and brands! I never really bothered with eye liner because I found it too difficult to apply but this is so easy with an angled eyeliner brush.

Topshop Blush in Flush This is without a doubt, the best blush I own because the colour just suits my skin tone perfectly. There really isn't much more I can say about it.

Benefit You Rebel Tinted Moisturiser I've used this tinted moisturiser so much this summer and am really interested to look into some other brands ready for next summer.

CoverGirl Last Blast Waterproof I need some more of this soon, it's just perfect :)

Boots 17 Eyeshadow in Mardi Gras This is great to wear along the lower lash line and then to line the top with just a flick of mascara. Really effortless but brightening.

Max Factor Eyeshadow in Burnt Bark Please, please, please, please just promise me next time you are at a Max Factor counter you will at least swatch this shadow. It is without a doubt my most used eyeshadow! I love everything about it.

March Favourites

This month we have some old favourites, some brand new items and some recently rediscovered beauty's :)

Bourjois 10 Hour Sleep effect foundation: this was in last months and i put it in here too because I'm just using it so often.

Ralph Lauren Hot Perfume: I've had this for about 3-4 years and only just found it again since i swapped rooms back in like January. I forgot just how much i love it :)

Mac TLC in Feelin' Good: This smells sooo good! but after using it pretty much all month I'm convinced it's drying my lips out :( so I'm switching back to other lip balms over the next month

Calvin Klein concealer pen: This gives the same kind of glowy/dewy effect as the bourjois foundation :) and its really light and i love it :)

Boots 17 Blush in Bramble Frost: possible the best £3.50 I've spent in a while. I've got so much use out of this i really want to go and check out some of the other colours.

Max Factor Eye Shadow in Burnt Bark: great for every day. great for a smokey evening look. and if i remember correctly i got it on sale for 99p :)

Collection 2000 Hot Look nail polish in Dynasty: easily my favourite pastel at the minute :)

YSL EverLong Mascara: This was also in last months but I've just been using it more than any of my others.

What have you been buying this week??

Sister's make up bag

This is it, the legend that is my Sister's make-up bag. For month's it has been hidden from me but today she foolishly left it at home whilst she headed out to do some shopping! haha! unlucky :) She recently bought some new make-up that I've been wanting to try out so i decided to swatch and take pictures of the things I'm interested in as who knows when i will ever get the chance again.

The first is the Max Factor Miracle Touch Liquid Illusion Foundation in Creamy Ivory. I first saw this in Lauren's Video but never really thought much to it. In all honest I've never really paid much attention to any Max Factor products.

It comes with a little sponge and a compartment to store it but luckily my sister didn't use it as i explained to her sponges are designed to soak up products so she would be wasting quite a bit by using it.

The foundation itself has quite a wet feel to it but applied as a sort of cream/powder. It's really nice and retails for just under £12. I don't think it is something i would personally buy as i would rather spend that money on a Revlon colourstay which everyone seems to love.

Probably the most disappointing factor of this foundation is the quantity. The glass pot that it comes in is so thin that i don't imagine this will last very long. But i guess we will just have to wait and see.

The next little gem that i found was the Rimmel Sexy Curves in Intense black. I've heard a lot of really good reviews for this mascara but never bought it because mascara's dry up so quickly and I'm currently getting through Maybelline great lash and Benfit's Bad Gal Lash.

I think the brush takes some getting used to but i think its a really cool fun shape

Over all i do quite like it but i don't know if i like it enough to buy it. My Uncle is currently in Florida and I'm hoping he gets the chance to pick me a Cover Girl Lash Blast up :)

Finally there is the Boots 17 Hide away concealer. If you have read some of my previous post you will know i am currently looking for a new concealer because i hate my Natural Collections one. This has the same sort of texture but doesn't dry any where near as fast!

There really isn't anything interesting to say about it and i didn't bother swatching it because it's just concealer! Unless i can get to a MAC store soon and find out what shade i am in their products i will probably end up picking this up for myself.
