Product Rave: Boots 17 Eyeshadows

These eyeshadows have got to be the best thing i have discovered this year. They are soo smooth, the colour pay off is amazing and they cost les than £4.00!
With the light shining on them
i think i prefer the eye's range because they are alot nicer to work with, but the glitter ones deffinatly add something nice to a night time look :)

next time you are in Boots check these out :) and if you don't like them, send them to me :P haha
have you got any of these? what do you think of them??

My Lipstick Army .... If you can call it that

I recently read Marcia's post on all of her lipsticks and lipglosses and i decided to give it a go myself but just with lipsticks. I used to have alot more than this but i never used them so i gave them to my sister :)

The three at the back are:

Rimmel Rich Moisture in Dreamy, Estee Lauder Perfect Lipstick in Perfect Russet, NYX Round Lipstick in Frosted Flakes

The four infront of them are:

Barry M Lip Paint in 129, Barry M Lip Paint in Touch of Magic, Barry M Lip Paint in 101, Stila LipColor in Laurel

The Four infront of them are:

NYX Round Lipstick's in Orange Soda, Circe, Iris, Nivea Lip Care Pearl & Shine

The three at the front are:

Mac's Nude Rose, Angel & Bubbles

I used to never wear lipstick but since i started blogging and really getting into make-up i have become sooo addicted to lipsticks instead :) My favourites are mac's simply for the colour payoff
If you would like swatches or reviews of any of these lipsticks just let me know in the comments :)

Hand Cream Freebies :)

If you read this post you will know i got the December Issue of Marie Claire yesterday and it came with a free hand cream. I'm made me realise that withing the past year i have received 3 free hand creams from different magazines, all of which i have really liked but none of which i have used up or re-purchased. These are the one's i have:
(From L to R) - Neal's Yard Frankincense Hydrating Cream, L'Occitane Dry Skin Hand Dream and Crabtree & Evelyn La Source Hand Therapy

and this is what they look like:

(L to R) Neal's Yard, L'Occitane, Crabtree & Evelyn

I think out of the three the L'Occitane one is my favourite because it is the richest and im amazes me how easily it just melts on the skin. The only reason i haven't finished these or re-purchased any is because i'm not really in the market for a hand cream. I don't really feel that my hands are dry enough to need to use one every day.

I think over all i could give:

Neal's Yard - 6/10 - i really don't like the smell

L'Occitane - 9/10 - i love how it melts

Crabtree & Evelyn - 8/10 - it's a little bit greasy

Where to purchase

The Neal's Yard Cream (25g) (The same size as mine) - £10.50 - can be purchased here

The L'Occitane Cream (150ml) (5 times bigger than mine - £16.50 - can be purchased here

The Crabtree & Evelyn Cream (100ml) (2 times bigger than mine) - £10.00 - can be purchased here

Saturday Morning Haul

Today i had to go into town to post some nail polishes and wile i was there i decided i would do a little big of shopping. First was Boots where i got:
Rimmel Sun Shimmer in Light Matte which was on sale for 99p :) I have the light shimmer one and i love the colour but i really hate the shimmer so hopefully this will be perfect
A no.7 nail polish in Nougat which i will be reviewing soon on my nail polish blog Paint & Polish. This was also on sale for 99p :)
And then i picked up another 17 eyeshadow because i was sooo impressed with the first one i bought. This colour is Chalice which is a really pretty orangey/bronze colour.
And then to the factory shop:

i got this YSL lengthening mascara which is waterproof so it should be good for my holiday. The sticker said it should have been £21.00 but i got it for £10.00 :) It's the same place where i got the Calvin Klein nail polish the other week for like £3.00 :)
This is a close up of the wand:

And then in the post yesterday i got this book from Waterstones because i love the film and the plan was to save it for my holiday but i've already read like 80 pages :) it's really really good so if you are looking for a book i would recommend this one!

And then finally another magazine to add to the collection :) which came with a free Crabtree & Evelyn hand cream. That is the third hand cream i have got free in a magazine this year so i think i am going to do like a review of them all.

What have you been buying this weekend??

Another Blog Sale Bargain :)

I found another fabulous blog sale bargain recently an it came in the post this morning :) It is a big Cath Kidston wash bag from Sophie's Realm

the zips are soooo cute!

There is a big pocket on one side

and then a net pocket on the other side

i was really shocked at just how big it was :)

I bought it for my holiday (which i go on in like 6 days so for a week i won't be doing any blog posts) and i can't wait to fill it with all of my things :) I LOVE IT!

It's not all bad in make-up land :)

Over the past few months there has been alot of drama in the make-up community. I'm not going to go into individual cases but i think we can all think of an incident that had got alot of people angry. But ladies do not fear!

Over the past few weeks i have noticed that its not all bad and there are alot of extremely lovely ladies out there that are willing to help you whenever they can.

For me the first was Cat from http://catslittleobsessions.blogspot.com/ who helped me out with my de-cluttering :) As you may know i recently got rid of alot of my make-up that i just never really used. Some i gave to my sister, some i still have lying around in a box and the rest i gave to Cat so she could maybe give it all a little test and do some reviews and things for you guys. So thank you Cat for taking it all of my hands :)

The next was the Fabulous Zoe from http://schoee.blogspot.com/ who helped me out in a Lush crisis! So i was filling my bath and decided i wanted to use my Lush Star Melt, but i had no idea what i needed to do with it. So i dashed to Twitter, sent Zoe a quick message and almost instantly she replied letting me know what i had to do. Lets be honest, she could have completely ignored me because i'm a total stranger but she didn't because she is lovely :)

And then earlier this week i posted on Twitter that i desperately wanted the Vanity Fair with Robert Pattinson on the cover but i couldnt get it where i lived :( Then the beautiful Lil from http://lil-astorminateacup.blogspot.com/ said that pretty much everywhere was selling it when she lived and that she could pick me up a copy if i wanted :O seriously HOW NICE! so she bought the magazine yesterday and is going to post it me tomorrow in exchange for some Collection 2000 nail polishes that she wants :)

And finally the Super Sweet Phoebe from http://peluxe100.blogspot.com/ who has just offered to pick me up some of the Sleek palettes because i can't get them at my superdrug!

So next time theres a huge thing going on about someone doing something wrong in the make-up community, look at all of the people who are helping eachother out just because its the nice thing to do :) I feel super proud to have make these friends and i ope they all know that if they ever need anything and i can help then i would be happy to :)

Christmas Lush Haul :)

I got all this stuff quite a while ago so most of it is gone now :( i just haven't been in the mood to write about it!

Basically i got:

  1. Creamy Candy Bubble Bar

  2. Star Melt

  3. Candy Came Bubble Bar
  4. Fairy Tail Scrub
  5. Cinders Bath Bomb

The one one i didnt really like was Cinders bath bomb because of the smell. I like things that smell super sweet and this one just didnt really :( If you would like a review on anything then just leave me a comment and i will do it for you :)

Five things under £5

I saw this tag on Sweetcheeks Beauty and Fashion and because she tagged anyone that wanted to do it i figured i would give it a go :) Basically these are 5 things that i have and that i really like which all cost under £5.00.

These are my 5 things :)

Barry M Nail Paint in Mint Green - £2.95
Barry M are probably my favourite brand for drugstore nail polishes. They have such an amazing colour range that they are updating all the time and for £3.00 you really can't complain. I chose this colour because it's been really popular since the whole mac peppermint patti and the chanel Jade :)

Boots 17 Eyeshadow in Statuesque - £3.22
I'm am soo happy i bought this eyeshadow. It is easily one of my favourite colours i own and i can't wait to get some more net time i go to boots :) I think the colour pay off is just as good as mac's but for a fraction of the price!

Carmex Lip Balm - about £2.50
I dont remember exactly what i paid for this but i think it was about £2.50. You can apply this in the morning and it keeps your lips fabulous all day (until about lunch time when you get something to eat) I let my friend use mine at the beginning of the week and she has used it every morning since. She loves it :D

Barry M Kohl Pencil Liner in 1 (Black) - £2.95
without a doubt my favourite Kohl liner i have ever use. It so smooth and doesn't tug on your eyes at all. I used to have alot of the colours (i think i had about 10 in total) but when i condesed by collection i got rid of them all except this one and my silver one. The silver one is perfect on the waterline in the morning because it works just like a while eyeliner by making your eyes look bigger and more awake but silver also gives you a little sparkle :)

Avon Solutions Pure Pore-Fection Cleaner - £3.00
This is my favourite facial cleaners i have ever used! It is just so perfect for my skin and so cheap :) If you are looking for a cleaner then i would recommend this one. It is currently on sale online for £2.50! I have a review of it somewhere on my blog if you would like further information.

Also what do you think of the dotty background to all of my pictures?? I wanted something to brighten then up a little bit and i think, if you like it, i will try to use it as a background to all of my pictures :)

I also tag anyone who wants to do this :) leave me a link when you do :) i love reading these posts and finding fabulous new bargains!

I finally got Interview

If you follow me on twitter you may already know this because i was super excited about it. Basically i've been wanting this magazine for AGES but because it's American it was really difficult to find. Then i found out that my sister's friend was going to Florida (the one who fetched me the CoverGirl Mascara back) and i asked her to look for this magazine but she couldn't find it :( Then a boy in my class went to Florida and i asked him to have a look around for me too :) He said he couldn't find it until they got to the airport on the way home! HOW LUCKY! :)

So now i have my beautiful ridiculously large magazine :) and it was 100000% worth it!

Thank you to everyone on Twitter how had a look for it for me :)

New Cover Girl LashBlast

I have been so fortunate this week because two of my friends went to Florida on holiday and picked me some things up while they were they because i cant get them in the UK. The first is a back up of Cover Girls LashBlast which is probably my favourite mascara! I now have 3 that are all slightly different. My new one is the regular but in Black Brown rather than Very Black like the one i originally have.

It's perfect because it give the same volume and lift but the change in colour means i can wear brown in the day and then my more intense black at night :)

I'll do a separate post on the other ting my other friend brought back :)

October Favourites and One Regret!

I don't usually do monthly favourites because i always forget and then leave it too late but i'm gonna give it a go this month (even though it is pretty late!) I'm just gonna get straight into it:

Harper's Bazaar November 2009 issue - Mainly because i love the picture on the front :)

Nivea Oil Free Moisturising Fluid - I've had this for ages now and still don't feel the need to try something new. It moisturises so well and soaks in super fast!

Mac DSquared2 Lipstick in Nude Rose - I am soo mad with my self that i didnt get a back up of this lipstick before it sold out :( It is like my perfect shade!!

Mac Paint Pot in Painterly - Doing a good job of replacing my UDPP :)

No 7 Stay Perfect Nail Polish in Damson Dream - Amazing Winter colour. It's a shame i can't wear it for school!

Boots 17 Single Eyeshadow in Statuesque - Such an amazingly pretty colour for an even more amazing price. I dont have Mac's Style Snob but i think it is a little bit like that

Mac MSF Natural in Light Medium - So glad my mum replaced this. It is my HG powder!

Avon Conditioning nail enamel remover - It makes my nails feel really soft :) and i got it on sale for 99p :)

And the BIG regret:

Mac's Dazzleglass in My Favourite Pink - It's horrible. It doesnt taste nice. The glitter is far too chunky and it hurts. It's such a shame because it is such a pretty colour :(

Magazine Haul - With a free Nail Polish!

To feed my crazy magazine addiction i picked up the latest issue of Glamour today. It has an amazing interview inside with the people that play Alice, Jasper, Rosalie and Emmett and the pictures are really coool :)

But the main reason i got it was for the fre nail polish which i have done a post about here on my nail polish blog
I've noticed that for the past two years now Glamour have given away something from benefit and a nail polish from nails inc. every year :) I hope they keep that up!

A Little Mac Haul

i bought some more mac things the other day because i wasn't going to wait for the new collections to come out because they looked boring. So i got these:

Woodwinked Eye Shadow
Bronzing Powder in Golden
Penultimate Eye Liner in RapidBlack

So far i love them all :) the bronzer was a little difficult to get use to because at first it made me look dirty but i tink it was because i was putting too much of it on.
