My Thoughts: The glitter in these shadows can be a bit of a problem. It makes the shadow slightly more difficult to use and can create a bit of fallout, but for a metallic dramatic evening eye, you cant really go wrong with these! It is a beautiful silver!

My Thoughts: You may already know that i love Boots 17 eye shadows. After buying my first few Mac shadows, i thought i would never bother with any others but i'm soo glad i got these! This colour is a lot like the collection 2000 Dazzle Me in Paradise, if you have ever seen it??Maybe a little less orange :) i'll try to add a picture at the bottom. You have to get through the first layer of shadow which can be a little powdery, but one you do they are soo smooth and creamy. I always use a primer with my shadows so i can't comment on creasing!

Facial Attraction is a shop in Skegness that stocks discontinued make-up or make-up that is currently on ale in places like superdrug but for a much cheaper price :) There is a lot of rubbish stuff in there, but if you have a good look around you can find some good stuff. The brushes i got today are soo soft and look a lot nicer that other brushes that sell for £1.49! The handle is wooden which i think is really nice.

My Favourite Products of 2009

My plan was to do this post during 2009 but i completely forgot sorry :(

The Products

Mac Mineralize Skinfinish Natural in Light Medium - When i first got this i was just like ... well ok this is no better than my £4 boots 17 powder, but i was completely wrong. The finish of this gives a perfect glow and sets my foundation without making my face completely matte. And on a very good skin day, it has enough coverage to wear either on it's own or just with concealer

CoverGirl Lash Blast - Probably my favourite mascara of the year because it does everything i want a mascara to do It's a perfect black, gives volume, adds length and lasts most of the day. The only downside is my Very Black one has started to dry up now :(

Rimmel Lipstick in Clear - I love to use this when i don't need something quite as strong as carmex. I've got through 2 of these already which i think is really good because i never finish lipsticks :)

Mac Paint Pot in Painterly - Its a great base for eyeshadows, a great everyday colour if you want something really quick and simple and i know i probably shouldn't do this but it is a perfect skin match for me to use it as a concealer ... lol :)

Boots 17 Bronzer in Light - My first ever bronzer and i love it. It's light enough to dust all over the face as a powder without looking dirty if you don't want to fake tan your face but still want the colour. Then i use my slightly darker bronzer from mac for my cheeks

Mac Lipstick in Angel - Such a great pink colour that can be worn both day and night. I think it's a frost finish but it doesn't come out overly frosty, it just looks really nice :)

Soap & Glory i-Foam body wash - I know i only got this like a week before the end of 2009 but i love it soo much i feel like it deserves a place on this list. I've used it everyday since i got it and it is probably my favourite thing out of my S&G Hat Box

Review: Boots 17 Bronzer in Light

Cost: £3.99

My Thoughts: I very rarely hit pan on anything, so the fact that i have with this product is a good indication of just how much i like it and use it. It was my first bronzer because i always thought i was too pale to wear it and it really was the perfect shade for me. I now use the slightly darker Mac bronzer in Golden. It has a little bit of shimmer in it but it really isn't very noticeable.

Saturday Morning Haul

Today i had to go into town to post some nail polishes and wile i was there i decided i would do a little big of shopping. First was Boots where i got:

Rimmel Sun Shimmer in Light Matte which was on sale for 99p :) I have the light shimmer one and i love the colour but i really hate the shimmer so hopefully this will be perfect

A no.7 nail polish in Nougat which i will be reviewing soon on my nail polish blog Paint & Polish. This was also on sale for 99p :)

And then i picked up another 17 eyeshadow because i was sooo impressed with the first one i bought. This colour is Chalice which is a really pretty orangey/bronze colour.

And then to the factory shop:

i got this YSL lengthening mascara which is waterproof so it should be good for my holiday. The sticker said it should have been £21.00 but i got it for £10.00 :) It's the same place where i got the Calvin Klein nail polish the other week for like £3.00 :)

And then in the post yesterday i got this book from Waterstones because i love the film and the plan was to save it for my holiday but i've already read like 80 pages :) it's really really good so if you are looking for a book i would recommend this one!

And then finally another magazine to add to the collection :) which came with a free Crabtree & Evelyn hand cream. That is the third hand cream i have got free in a magazine this year so i think i am going to do like a review of them all.

Make-up De-Clutter

I tidied my room this afternoon with my dad because my room and the bathroom are being switched over. Due to the move i decided that i didn't like my boring black make-up draws and that most of the make-up in them was unworn :(

so i managed to condense this:

i don't think i am going to bother with a blog sale because my last few have been quite unsuccessful so i'll either just throw it out or give it to my sister. A lot of it was just cheap drugstore items that i bought when i first got into make-up and have since discovered better brands/items. I am not in any way saying that all the stuff i have kept in high end ... the picture show's it isnt. In fact i bought a boots 17 eye shadow today:

its really pretty and it called Statuesque. I dont think it will be my last 17 eyeshadow :)

Now that i have had chance to try out different brands i think i can buy make-up that i know i am going to get use out of rather than seeing something in the sale or a pretty colour and never wearing it.

I actually ordered some more mac things earlier that i will do a haul of when they get here :)

No. 7 Stay Perfect Nail Colour in 105 Damson Dream

I've never really bothered much with No 7 products because i've tried some of my friends before and i didnt think they were worth the money but my mum got me this nail polish for my birthday and i actually really like it :)

Its really good for fall because it such a nice deep shade :)

I don't think this will be my last no. 7 nail polish but it hasn't changed my opinion on their other make-up products.

NOTD

I dont really do NOTD's because when i paint my nails, its all scratched off within a few hours. Seriously its like an addiction and i hate it! But this is just to show you the colour :) i think im gonna buy some fake nails and paint them so i can show you my colours without wrecking my nails with all the scratching.

In all honest this nail polish probably has the best consistency i have ever tried! but i haven't really tried alot of expensive brands, so they could be better

Skin Care Routine

I just want to point out that i dont have a strict routine that i do every morning and every night because usually i tend to forget :( but i do have products that i love alot though and that is kind of what i am going to show you :)

The Cleansers

If im in a hurry or super tired i will just clean my face with a face wipe but my actually cleanser is Avon Solutions Plus pure pore-fection which is a really nice foam that makes my face feel super clean and soft. To remove my eye make-up i use Boots essentials eye make-up remover gel because i prefer it to removers that are oil based.

The Toners

I am yet to use a toner that i actually see results with but at the minute i am using these two. The Avon one is a little strong and makes my eyes water but i can really feel my pores tightening when i use it. The other is Lush's Tea Tree water which i can't feel working but it's really refreshing and nice to just have in your bag on a hot day :)

The Moisturisers

During the winter i have really dry gross skin. my friend suffers from the same problem and recommended Johnsons baby lotion. Now i will warn you that this is really thick and should not be applied before make-up because it just doesn't soak in. I only use it when my skin is dry and i only use it as a night cream. The other is Nivea Visage Oil Free Moisturising Fluid which i love because when you rub it in it is completely matte so you dont have to wait for it to soak in before you apply your make-up :)

Another Mini Boot's Haul

I nipped into boot's again today but this time with my sister. Again, i didn't really pick much up and what i did get isn't really very exciting but i thought i would show you anyway :)

2 sachet's on Aussie's 3 Minute Miracle Reconstruction Deep Conditioner and Miracle Hair Insurance Leave-in Conditioner

I love Aussie. It's probably my favourite hair brand because of the ingredients they use, their packaging, their promotion and how their stuff makes my hair feel :) When i get the chance to pick up some of their conditioner i will use their products in one of my Hair Care Diaries.

Some Simple cleaning face wipes and some Simple baby wipes

The bay wipes are for things like make-up spills, quickly cleaning brushes etc.

Boots Tea Tree & Witch Hazel Peel Off Face Mask

If you read my little boots haul then you'll know i picked up this face mask earlier today and couldn't wait to try it out. When i first opened it i thought it was really sticky and i didn't think i would like it but i put it on anyway. It dried really quickly and in the past i have used face peels and found that they peel off in little pieces but this one pretty much peeled off in one big piece which made this so easy to use :)

You get so much product in the sachet so i've put mine in the fridge to keep it as fresh a possible and i'm going to use it again tomorrow. The pack of the sachet says:

but i think i'm going to have to use it a few times before i start to see any difference in my skin. They are only 97p so next time i'm in town i'm going to pick up a few more and try to used one every day as part of my skin care routine.

Mini Boot's Haul

I finally decided that today i needed to stop being lazy and do something productive, so i went to boots :) I only went in for some eye make-up remover but came out with 2 other things.

i admit it's nothing very exciting.

so far i have only tried the make-up remover and i am really impressed with it. I haven't really used make-up remover's in the past because i find most of them really oily but i wanted to try this one out because it is a gel. Using it really shows just how much make-up is still left on my eyes when i use wipes and for £1.49 it's a bargain.

I picked up the cotton wool pads because i needed some for my nail polish remover and thought they would be good to use with the eye make-up remover.

And then i got the face peel because i love the smell of tea tree and it was only 97p so i thought ... why not :)

Review: Soap & Glory The Fab Pore Facial Peel

I went shopping last week and picked up this product because i will try anything that says it minimizes pores. I think i got it for like £3.91 or something like that. I've always loved Soap & Glory products and recently wrote a letter to the company to let them know how much i love them :) I think everything smells fantastic, makes my skin feel really nice and the packaging is sooo cute.

It's really soft on the skin and basically all you have to do is rub it into your skin until all of the little blue bead's disappear and then leave it on for about 5-15 minutes and then wash off. I've only used it like 4 times so i can't really comment on a huge difference but finger's crossed i get some really good results from it :)

Product of the Week #1

This week i've found myself using my Boots 17 Instant Glow Bronzing Powder in Light a lot more than usual because it's been ridiculously warm and i don't tan very well so this makes it look like i do :)

i always wanted to try a bronzer but because im soo pale i thought it would look silly. The only reason i got this was because 17 were doing a 3 for 2 offer and my friend uses it and said it's good. I got it in light so its not too dark and just looks like the natural colour that i tan (when the sun eventually gets to me)

I think if like me you are wary of using bronzer this is a great product to go for or something like the natural collections one. That way if its not a product you can get on with, you aren't wasting your money.

LADIES I NEED YOUR HELP!!

I'm off on a shopping trip tomorrow in Lincoln for prom decorations and after we've done that we're off into town to do a Little shopping. I'm limiting what i spend on make-up but i was hoping you could help. If you had £10 to spend in either boots or superdrug .... what would you get??

I'm not sure to get like on thing with the money like an Urban Decay Lipgloss or to get lots of little things ... maybe stuff from Natural Collection?? HELP!! i need idea's!

Also .... i love these pictures .... i wish i could get Vanity Fair in my town :(
