The Ultimate Product Rave!

For as long as I can remember, I have always suffered with dry skin. It gets very bad in the winter and means after just a few hours wear my foundation appears flaky and uneven. I have tried endless moisturisers that claim to "hydrate" or "quench" dry skin, but nothing ever really worked. And then I found this product.

I first got a sample of the Neutrogena deep clean invigorating daily scrub in a magazine about a year ago now and I really liked how the beads left my skin feeling super soft, but for some reason it wasn't until about two or three months ago that I actually picked up a bottle of it from superdrug.

Not only did this product completely solve my dry skin problem but it also helped to just clear up any blemishes that I had. I love that it has a very menthol feeling on the skin so you feel fresh and awake after using it. I also find that I don't have to use this every day. With some products, if you don't use them daily, you skin can breakout or return to it's original state but with this Neutrogena scrub I feel like the results last for day.

I just honestly cannot rave about this product enough and I think if you suffer from dry flakey skin it is 100% worth a try. Although it is marketed at "Invigorating" I don't find the product harsh on the skin if you are using it daily and it also doubles up as a great make-up remover as it literally scrubs away everything :)

The Big Tesco Vitamin E Review!

So after weeks of testing i think I am finally ready to give my verdict on these super cheap Tescoproducts. Keep in mind that every one's skin is different so something that might not have worked for me maybe perfect for you :) I'm not going to go into massive depth, simply because idon't want to bore you all, but if you have an specific questions feel free to ask.

The Face Wash

Nothing really stood out to me about this product. It lathers up well and a little goes a long way, it removes make-up and makes your face feel clean, but it just doesn't have anything special about it.

The Facial Scrub

Probably my favourite. The scrubbing beads aren't very big so you don't really get that deep clean feeling, but it's great if you want to be able to use a scrub everyday and not feel like you're damaging your skin.

The Eye Make-up Remover

Nothing special. I think i prefer my Boots eye make-up remover gel because it has a really nice cooling effect, but this works just as well at actually removing product.

The Cleanser

If you are going to a festival this summer, i think this product would be great. It's like having a face wash but without having to mix it with water. I would recommend cleansing with this, then wiping a wet wipe over your face just so you get that damp clean feeling.

The Moisturiser

If your skin is in need of major moisture then this just isn't going to cut it, but if you just want something light and easy to use before your make-up, i think this is a great inexpensive choice.

The Toner

I didn't really notice this making any difference to my skin so i don't think it is something i would suggest picking up from the brand. It left my skin feeling quite dry, but it wasn't strong enough to make my eyes water which was nice.

The Cleansing Wipes

I love these :) They are soo inexpensive and i think they work really well for the price. Great just to have in your bag throughout the summer to keep your feeling fresh and clean in the heat. I tend to use them to wipe make-up off, and then use the Facial Scrub to clean a little deeper.

The Night Cream

Wasn't really what i was expecting. It is very thin compared to other night creams that i have tried, and i just don't think it really did anything for my skin.

Review: Essie Nail Polish in Van D'Go

My Thoughts: I was never very keen on the idea of paying nearly £9 for a nail polish but always liked the look of some of the Essie colours. The second Jo said on Twitter she had Van D'Go for sale for £5 i jumped at the chance to get it :) I'm 100% happy i did and now i have tried this i think they are worth the £8.95 price tag! The colour is perfect for spring and i already received compliments on it just on the first day of wearing it :)

Where you can buy: The only place i know of is ASOS so i would advise heading to google!

Would i re-purchase: Yes :) I'm interested in other colours and would possibly buy a back-up of this

Review: Mac Mineralize Blush in Rhapsody In Two

My Thoughts: On my skin, this is a lot more like a highlighter than a blush. It comes out as a lovely shimmery product a lot like my Soft & Gentle MSF. The colours blend really nicely as one, but when I try to apply them individually, I see very little difference in colour on my face. The swatches below however tell a different story. If you are after a very pigmented blush, i don't think this is what you are looking for, but if you want something light and shimmery for the spring/summer months, go and check this out if you still can.

Cost: I got mine for £6.50 from a blog sale but they retail for about £8.95

My Thoughts: I am completely in love with Essie polishes. And i know i probably didn't need another mint green but this is just nice to add to the collection :) With two coats you get a lovely opaque colour. I always chip my nail polish within the first day no matter what top coats i am wearing so i cant really comment on how long it will last :S

My Thoughts: I think China Glaze might just be my new favourite nail polish brand :) seriously i love everything about them. I just hate that they are so difficult to get over here :( The colour is a beautiful classic bright red. The picture above shows two coats. It dries quickly, is lovely to apply and simple to remove when needed :)

My Thoughts: I've always believed that mascara is the one products that you really don't have to spend a lot of money on. My favourite brand for mascara is Maybelline because they are always coming out with something new. However i bought this just to try it out, and i am very impressed! I absolutely love the wand and the formula itself. It is my longest lasting mascara (but i think that is because it is waterproof) and the black is really intense which i like :) I think this product has opened my eyes to the YSL brand and i cant wait to try out some more things, especially the Pure Lipsticks, Rouge Volupte's and the new Teint Resist Foundation :) Something to remember is that is it a lengthening mascara so if you are looking for Voluptuous lashes, this may not be the product for you.

My Thoughts: The first thing i noticed about this foundation in the smell. It is a very sweet, almost fruity kind of baby powder smell. I really like it :) It is a vast improvement on the Mac SFF smell! Another thing i noticed very early was the consistency of the foundation. It is the most runny one i have ever tried which means that it is also very sheer. It almost feels like a watered down foundation. However the coverage is very nice. I would say it is light-medium. but maybe more on the medium side of things. I don't feel like i have to wear concealer with it. It is also one of my longest lasting foundations that i've ever tried. It has a pump which i love and it is one of the bust pumps i have used. It pumps out the perfect amount of foundation.

My Thoughts: Avon Magix is suppose to be a colourless foundation, and this version of it is the coloured one. It feels a lot like a primer and is very soft to apply which i really like. Sadly however for my the coverage lets it down. I would say it is Light-Medium and i personally prefer Medium-Full for my skin. It lasts about 4-5 hours which is average for all foundations on my skin. It's really easy to blend with a foundation brush, which is the only way i apply foundation unless i want a really like coverage.

My Thoughts: The colour is a very pale pink with a shimmer to it, but i think the shimmer is like an iridescence because it comes out blue :) It's called Moisture Shine but don't expect a lot. It's not drying, but it's not very moisturising either. I have found that it doesn't last very long on the lips but for £1.99 it's not gonna be a problem to keep re-applying it. It is also a very sheer colour but can look lovely when built up.

My Thoughts: This is a little more difficult to wear than my Candy Mist one. It has more of a cream finish than a shimmer so if you have chapped lips it's going to cling to it all. Colour wise - it is a beautiful coral colour that can be layered up to make a statement lip or applied nice and sheer for more of an everyday look. Again, it isn't super moisturising and doesn't last all that long.

My Thoughts: This lipstick has been given A LOT if hype on the internet so i was always a little sceptical to buy it in case it didn't live up to my expectations. This i kind of like what i wanted Mac's Myth to be, a lovely nude colour that is really soft to apply and doesn't require a gloss or balm to make is nice and shiney :) However, i don't know of i would class it as my HG nude lipstick. It doesn't last all that long (but i think that might just be my lips not the lipsticks fault) and when its gone, it can leave my lips slightly dry :(

My Thoughts: I always thought that i would never buy any of the sleek palettes because i always forget about using palettes and just use my single eye shadows. However, when i saw the the Sleek counter at Lincoln, i just couldn't resist :) The pigmentation of the shadows is incredible for the price and the range of colours and finishes they offer throughout all of their palettes is extremely impressive for a high street make-up brand. I do think however that with some of the lighter shades, you have to apply a lot to get to see the colour more then the shimmer or apply them wet.
