I am in desperate need of new make-up :(

i feel like because i haven't bought any in ages i'm not keeping this blog as good as it could be. and i know i've been lacking in posts and stuff recently but school is being really difficult :( And i dont get my EMA yet so money is a little but tight for me :( but basically what i really want is:

  • Mac Angel Lipstick
  • Mac Golden Bronzer
  • Mac Woodwinked eyeshadow
i have like £70 saved up at the minute but i was hoping to use that to get a Jack Wills jumper :(

i also just want to remind everyone that my blog sale is still up so if you are interested in anything please dont hesitate to ask and get shopping :) I think i will be taking it down in the next few days. I also have some books and dvd's i want to sell so if that is something you might be interested in please let me know. I wont presume that just because you said you are interested means you will buy the stuff because obviously you don't know what it is :)

Avon Solutions Day & Night Total Radiance Cleaners - For Sale

So you may remember a few weeks ago i had a bit of an Avon haul. well it turns out i didn't really end up using most of it so instead of having it sat in my draws i decided i would sell them. Every little helps right :) The first things to go are these:

I think the idea of the Total Radiance range it to put a little bit of colour back into your skin, therefore it's perfect for this time of year. The AM one is a "Refreshing Day Cleanser" and the PM one is a "makeup removing night cleanser". If you ave read some of my other posts you may have seen just how much i love my solutions cleanser & moisturiser so this is definitely a range i would recommend to all of my followers :) They retail for £3.00 each so i will be selling mine at £4.00 for the pair. Postage is £1.50. I only accept PayPal. Leave your paypal e-mail address in a comment if you want to buy them.

Revlon Gel Blush - For sale

This product has been sitting in my draw for about 4 months now just not being used. I think it is time for it to go to a good home. I've only used it about 5-6 times but as i tend to do my make-up on the bus to school (so i get more sleep :P) i prefer to use a powder. It comes out as a really pretty deep pink colour to create the perfect rosey cheek. This is what Revlon say about it:

and this is a post i did about it a few months ago:

if you are interested i am selling it for £3 and postage will be £1.50. I only accept paypal because it's quick and easy :) just leave me a comment with your paypal e-mail address :)

Foundation Overview

I think, for alot of women foundation is the thing we apply in the working to make our skin look exactly how we want it to look. It's not the most exciting part of out make-up routine, but for most is probably the most important. I will admit i dont own alot of foundation because i want to use up most of a foundation before i buy a new one. Here are my thoughts on some foundation's i own.

Maybelline Dream Satin Liquid Foundation

Coverage - 4/5
I think this foundation has a good balance of covering things up that you dont want to be seen whilst still avoiding a cakey feeling. I think if you have some really bad problem areas you would need a concealer with this.

Colour Match - 5/5
Maybelline, to me, always seem to have a really good range of colours in their foundation which is always good for a drugstore brand

Long Lasting - 3/5
If you want this foundation to last all day, use a primer. On the way to school on the bus it looks really good, on the way home, i'd rather not look.

Price - 4/5
I think i got mine for about £7 or something, which to me a really good :)

Total - 16/20

Boots 17 Skin Perfecting Foundation

Coverage - 3/5
The coverage of this foundation is just a abit average. Not amazing, not disastrous. probably really good for someone with quite good skin

Colour Match - 3/5
Again, the colour match for this is just average. The selection is nowhere near a good as a brand like mac or other compatible brands.

Long Lasting - 4/5
I think the long lasting is alot like the Maybelline one. Use a primer!

Price - 4/5
I think is like £6. not too bad :)

Total - 14/20

Avon Mousse Foundation

Coverage - 4/5
The fact that this is a mousse means it has a really nice build able coverage

Colour Match - 4/5
Avon are really good with their range of col
ours. I would deffo recommend checking them out if your struggle finding a perfect colour.

Long Lasting - 5/5
One of the best i have tried. It's a shame it makes me skin look dry and flakey!

Price - 2/5
I think this is like £8-£10. but the tub will last you months, its just it didnt really look good on my skin so i wouldn't pay it again

Total - 15/20

Avon Color Trend Liquid Foundation

Coverage - 2/5
I think the coverage is so low because the brand is aimed at young teenagers, and they shouldnt be caked in make-up

Colour Match - 2/5
You cant really expect much from a brand aimed at young girls.

Long Lasting - 3/5
Pretty average, i would only wear this if i was nipping somewhere, never for a full day or night

Price - 4/5
From what i can remember, its less than £5

Total - 11/20

Top 5 Products: Hair Care

The final part before the top 5! :O

Superdrug Blonde Condition (bought before i dyed my hair), Bead Head Headrush shine mist, Aussie Miracle Hair Insurance leave in conditioner, Herbal Essences Hello Hydration Shampoo, Avon Solutions Dry End Serum

I'm not really into styling my hair, so i dont use styling products. I 've tried to get a basic Shampoo & Conditioner, something to nourish and something to make it look nicer. Something i wish i had put on the list was dry shampoo :(

If you would like any reviews on any of these products just let me know :) xx

Top 5 Products: Skin Care

This is the skin care section of my favourite products :)

Germolene, S&G the fab pore, Avon Solutions cleanser, Avon Solutions moisturiser, Avon Planet Spa mud mask

I love all of these products soooo much! some are for occasional use and other's are more of everyday products.

If you would like a review of any of these just let me know

The next part will be my 5 top hair care products, and then my top 5 ultimate products :)

NYFW Make-Up: Erin Wasson

Because i started this blog to do make-up, i figured it was only fair to do some of the same-up shown at New York Fashion Week along with the clothing collections. The first is Erin Wasson's Collection.

The make-up for this show was a classic tanned skin, smokey eyes and nude lip. Always a winner. And it goes perfectly with the clothes she designed.

My lame excuse of the look. I had to look up to the light to get my skin to look a little more tanned so sorry about the weird positioning, but i hope you get the idea.

What i used:

Face
Maybelline Dream Satin Liquid Foundation
17 Bronzer
Avon Satin Deluxe Blush (Dark Side)
ELF Concealer

Eyes
Mac Smoke & Diamonds
Barry M Black eyeliner
CoverGirl Lash Blast

Lips
Nothing

NYFW Front Row: BCBG

To have a good collection, you have to have a good front row. The celebrities you have there should be inspired to wear your clothes and get everyone else dying to wear them.

i think Keri Hilson is without a doubt the prettiest woman in music at the minute!

*NEW* New Moon Trailer!!!

a new new moon trailer was coming out at the MTV VMA awards and im not too sure if that has even been on yet?? but this is the trailer!!

the quality is HD! HOLY SHIT! the trailer is amazing!

let me know what you think of it :)

xx

Top 5 Products: Lips

This is the third part to my top 5 products thing i'm doing. Next will be skincare, then haircare, and then the ultimate 5.

The body shop Born Lippy Watermelon lip balm
Vaseline with SPF
Barry M Glossy Tube (the shade rubbed off but they're generally all really good :)
Barry M Lip Paint in 101
Dior Lip Maximizer lip gloss

i think they are all things that can be worn both in the day and at night, so they are just really easy to have in your bag.

Have you tried any of these?? Let me know what you thought of them! xx

NYFW Spring/Summer 2010: Charlotte Ronson

I've never really taken much notice to Charlotte Ronson's designs because i though she was just getting all of her fame from her second name. I was wrong. She's getting all of her fame because her clothes are really good. I think the really appealing thing to this collection are the colours. And everything has a kind of sports luxe feel to it, probably because of the headbands :)

i love the colour of this.

more Lady Gaga inspired??
i love the layering
this reminds me of the film 27 dresses, when the woman comes to work after she slept at the guys house, and she's wearing his shirt and part of her bridesmaid dress. LOVE IT!
that pattern is lovely

NYFW Spring/Summer 2010: Jason Wu

As far as i know, Jason Wu is relatively new. But i've loved his designs since i first saw them. I think they have a fabulous Couture feel to them but they are part of the Ready To Wear Collection. They are perfect evening dresses and anyone who wears them should be honored. This season i loved the bright colours.

That lime green belt is genius!

such as classic design
cream & black will probably always be my favorite colour combo
more Mustard! my fave

fierce pattern
